Children & Youth

Faith formation is a crucial part of our ministry to children and youth. Age-appropriate classes and service opportunities invite children and youth to connect with God in our community—both inside and outside the church.

Our youngest disciples are always welcome in worship. In fact, we encourage them to join us.

Following Discovery Time (children’s sermon) at the 11:00 a.m. service, children are welcome to return to their seats or attend children’s programming designed to facilitate worship at an age-appropriate level.

Sunday School

We have Sunday School for all ages: Nursery, Preschool, K-2nd, 3rd-5th, and Youth. Class starts at 9:30 a.m.

Music is an integral part of this congregation and our faith development. Choirs are offered for all ages beginning with kindergarten.

Our children are integral to worship, not only as participants, but also in the leading of worship. Acolytes bring the light of God into the Sanctuary at the beginning of each worship service and carry the light of God out into the world at the end of each service.

Summer Camps and Experiences

Opportunities are available for Children and Youth to participate in outdoor ministry, conferences, and service opportunities at locations such as Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center, Montreat Conference Center, Goodland Academy and Heifer Ranch.

Youth Fellowship

The Youth engage in monthly fellowship, mission events, and yearly retreats in partnership with other local Presbyterian Churches.
